Modern Warfare 2 DLC breaks PSN records
Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling says Modern Warfare 2’s first DLC pack has broken multiple PlayStation Network download records.
“Thanks to the 1 Million+ PlayStation users who helped the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package break day-one and week-one download records on PSN!,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
The DLC’s success comes despite its launch being troubled by PSN issues earlier this month.
The Stimulus Package also “shattered Xbox Live records” following its late March release, with one million day-one downloads and 2.5 million in its first week.
Last week publisher Activision announced the second batch of downloadable content for Modern Warfare 2, the Resurgence Pack. It’s due to launch on Xbox Live on June 3, but has yet to be dated for other platforms.
