Borderlands ‘Game of the Year’ edition announced

Gearbox has just announced what many had already assumed (or hoped), Borderlands will get a “Game of the Year” re-release with its multiple downloadable content releases included, very soon. Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition will land in stores on October 12 on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

The package is set to include a “token” for the upcoming downloadable content Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution, as well as the all previous downloadable content released.  Presumably the previous DLC released–The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot, and The Secret Armory of General Knoxx–are included on the retail disc. As an added bonus, the re-release includes a “complete and comprehensive map of the Borderlands territories.”
