New Call of Duty: Black Ops multiplayer trailer introduces COD Points and Wager Matches
Prepare for an all new adrenaline FPS rush in the latest Call of Duty game, where players will raise the stakes on their gameplay skills. Treyarch released a new multiplayer gameplay video for their upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops game.
Watch the three minute video in HD here on the official Call of Duty YouTube page. The video showcases some of the features coming to the multiplayer gameplay of Call of Duty: Black Ops, where players gamble their virtual money (COD Points) and bet on their abilities (Wager Matches). COD Points can only be earned, not bought with real money. Four new free-for-all modes in COD: Black Ops allows players to “gamble” their COD Points against other players for the coveted top three rankings on the scoreboard (the money makers).
Here is a rundown of the different Wager Match multiplayer modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops:
- “One in the Chamber” – Everyone has 1 pistol, 1 bullet and 3 lives.
- “Sticks and Stones” – Players have a crossbow, ballistic knife and tomahawk.
- “Gun Game” – Players are equipped with a series of progressive weapons, from pistol to higher level weapons as kills increase.
- “Sharp Shooter” – Players start with the same randomly selected weapon, for a set amount of time.
Call of Duty: Black Ops will be available starting November 9, 2010.
