God of War collection coming to PlayStation Store

The official PlayStation blog announced that the God of War Collection is coming to the PlayStation Store. As of November 2, fans will be able to revisit Kratos’ first two adventures in silky-smooth 720p — all without so much as leaving their homes.

Pricing hasn’t been revealed just yet, though the wording on the blog post seems to suggest that the games will be available both separately and in a bundle. Much of the bonus content that was included with the boxed God of War Collection apparently won’t be making the cut, however.

PlayStation 2 games remain curiously absent from Sony’s downloadable game store, so it’s a little strange to see a PlayStation 3 remake hit PSN before the original PS2 version. Either way, between this and God of War: Ghost of Sparta, God of War fanatics have plenty to look forward to next month.
