More multiplayer content is on the way for Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood next month, and, best of all, it won’t cost you a cent.

The DLC, called The Animus Project Update 1.0, will add both a new map and a new multiplayer mode to Brotherhood. The new Advanced Alliance game type is described a more challenging variant of the current Alliance mode designed for three teams of two players. As for the additional map, it’s set on a French island off the coast of Normandy.

Look for the free add-on beginning Tuesday, December 14 on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store.
