Amy Adams to play Lois Lane in Superman reboot
Amy Adams has been cast as Lois Lane, fellow journalist and love interest of Clark Kent, in Zack Snyder’s Superman: Man of Steel.
Adams is the fourth official cast member to join the Superman reboot: Henry Cavill (The Tudors) is Clark Kent/Superman; Diane Lane and Kevin Costner will play Clark’s adoptive parents Martha and Jonathan Kent.
“There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it”, said Zack Snyder (Sucker Punch).
Refusing to reveal plot details, director Snyder declined to comment on the prominence of Lois Lane in the movie, but he did call the role “a linchpin” to the project.
