Max Payne 3 details surface from EDGE article

It looks like things are picking up for Max Payne fans. First there were two new Max Payne 3 screens released last week, and now an article from Edge magazine’s latest issue has exposed some details on Rockstar’s overdue action sequel.

The Edge preview uncovers two versions of Max, one with a full head of hair (see above) and another where he appears more muscular but bald as a cue ball.  The article reveals that the plot jumps back and forth in time, with Max apparently popping up in Brazil and New York.

Max Payne voice actor James McCafferty returns to voice the lead and the comic book styling of the earlier games remains intact. The article also says that Rockstar has reportedly spread the load between the Vancouver, London, Toronto and New England studios.

One thing the article doesn’t feature is a store date, instead giving Rockstar’s familiar “it’ll be done when it’s done” response.
