New Black Ops DLC brings maps, zombies‎

Last week a retailer accidently let slip that a second Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC pack was on the way. Today Activision has confirmed this by announcing new details of their ‘Escalation’ map pack.

The ‘Escalation’ DLC brings four new competitive multiplayer maps, as well as a fifth map, ‘Call of the Dead’, for the zombie co-op mode. The pack will launch on May 3rd through Xbox Live. Look for the maps to hit the PS3 and PC a month or so later.

“In crafting the Escalation multiplayer maps — Zoo, Convoy, Hotel and Stockpile — the team developed them to be distinct experiences in their own right, giving players the variety they crave in both setting and gameplay,” said Treyarch boss Mark Lamia. “And I don’t want to spoil any surprises for Zombies fans, but Call of the Dead takes it to a whole new level.”

Activision has also decided to mark Escalation’s release with another Double XP Weekend beginning on May 6th.
