Minecraft passes 2 million sales

Over two million people have now paid for the popular MMORPG Minecraft. That’s according to figures recently published on the website of the game’s developer, Mojang Specifications.
The stat means that a million copies have been sold since January this year. With some seven million registered so far, over 28 per cent have chosen to pay full price; an impressive conversion from free to paid customers.
The brainchild of Swedish developer Marcus ‘Notch’ Persson, the user generated content-focused online game Minecraft remains one of the biggest indie hits of recent times.
