Namco Bandai announces SoulCalibur V

Namco Bandai, the company behind famous fighting franchises Soul Calibur and Tekken, have just announced that Soul Calibur V is currently in the works.

Producer Hisaharu Tago confirmed the development of the game, stating that it will take place 17 years after the events of Soul Caliber IV and will feature characters both old and new.

Soul Caliber V will also feature an expanded character creation system, which was one of the best parts of Soul Caliber IV, as well as some new features.

The game will release sometime in 2012 –check out the teaser trailer below.
