A new movie in the Tekken franchise is in the pipeline, and this time the studio is the driving force behind it.

Namco Bandai unveiled Tekken: Blood Vengeance at its pre-E3 event in Dubai. The firm’s Tekken boss Katsuhiro Harada announced the game, and he asked fans to forget the previous terrible Tekken movies. The new flick will be in 3D and is being worked on by personnel who developed Tekken 6.

The new film is being created by the same company behind the two Resident Evil CG animated films. It is set for a theatrical release, although exact details have yet to be decided.
