Director abandons Uncharted film project

Director David O. Russell has walked away from the film adaptation of ‘Uncharted: Drakes Fortune’ that was set to star his friend Mark Wahlberg.

There’s no reason given for his departure, but since receiving so many accolades for his work on The Fighter, Russell (pictured above) has been in high demand and is more than likely focusing on a project that’s more personal to him.

The bigger question is whether or not Mark Wahlberg will remain attached since many thought the allure of working with Russell again was the biggest draw for Mr. Wahlberg.
