Enslaved sequel plans scrapped

Ninja Theory has confirmed that there won’t be a sequel to their superb adventure Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.
Enslaved was one the more refreshing and entertaining new IPs of last year but despite critical acclaim it only sold around 700,000 copies. The disappointed developer has turned their creative juices to their reboot of the Devil May Cry series.
“Enslaved should have done better. Right now we should have been doing a sequel and perfecting that sequel and doing what franchises do, which is get better over time”, said Tameem Antonaides, co-founder at Ninja Theory. “But because that didn’t happen we’ve not expanded to two teams like we intended to. So we’ve remained a smaller shop. But now we get another chance with DMC.”
If it’s as good as Enslaved, DMC will be a great game and hopefully it will land Ninja Theory the success they deserve.
