Suit up for the ‘X-Men Destiny’ launch trailer

Activision and Silicon Knights have released a launch trailer for X-Men Destiny today. It should get you properly amped up for the game’s release on October 7th.

In Destiny, rather than assume the role of Wolverine, Cyclops, or one of the well known X-Men heroes, players take on the role of a brand new mutant character. There are three characters to choose from, each with their own back story and personality. Players choose the familiar path of good or evil, joining the X-Men or Brotherhood of Mutants.

Players also get to choose their powers from a selection of offensive, defensive and utility abilities. For example, the player can create deadly blades with their mind or create rock-like armour to encase their body.

X-Men Destiny will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and DS.
