Ezio Auditore confirmed for SoulCalibur V

Namco Bandai has revealed that their upcoming fighting game Soulcalibur V will feature Ezio Auditore, the lead character from Ubisoft’s action series Assassin’s Creed.

Ezio will fight using a wide selection of knives and stabbing weapons, including the longsword, crossbow, and hidden blade.

The Soulcalibur franchise has a history of adding guest characters to their rosters. Previous incarnations have featured Legend of Zelda hero Link, Tekken brawler Heihachi and Darth Vader himself.

Ezio Auditore will appear on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game when it launches January 31, 2012.
