EA digital service Origin adds third-party titles

EA’s digital distribution service for PCs will start offering titles from third-party publishers next month.

Origin will offer titles from Warner Bros. Interactive, Capcom and THQ in November. Among those games included will be blockbusters Batman: Arkham City and Saints Row: The Third.

It’s not clear what other titles Origin will have available for download from the three publishers.

EA’s Origin will rival existing services such as Steam, created by Portal studio Valve Software, and Direct2Drive in offering PC titles for digital download.

The platform was revealed earlier this year during E3.
