Battlefield 3 ships 10 million units in week one

EA CEO John Riccitiello has revealed some staggering sales numbers for the latest entry in the Battlefield series.
Riccitiello revealed EA has managed to ship 10 million copies of Battlefield 3 in the first week. Riccitiello revealed that it’s still too soon to get rock solid sales numbers, but “sell through is strong.”
Peter Moore, the new COO added, “This is the biggest one-day shipment the company has ever done.” In comparison Battlefield: Bad Company 2, released back in March 2010, has shipped 11 million to date.
