Tekken Tag Tournament 2 confirmed for 2012

Namco Bandai’s big game announcement at the Spike VGA’s last night was Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

There wasn’t a lot of information on offer, however, it was revealed that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is slated for release somewhere near the end of 2012.

That’s probably a bit later than most fans were hoping for but with Namco Bandai already scheduling Soulcalibur V for February and Street Fighter X Tekken due in March 2012 is already looking pretty crowded.

Namco Bandai did release a new CGI clip for the upcoming beat ‘em-up.  The trailer doesn’t show any gameplay footage, just a stylish battle between Asuka and Lili vs. Kazuya and Bryan.

The trailer also failed to stipulate the platforms the game will be released on, but we’re expecting an official announcement next week.
