Guild Wars 2 launching in 2012, public beta coming
At the official blog, ArenaNet Founder and President Mike O’Brien has revealed new details about Guild Wars 2 and the company’s plans for 2012.
According to the blog post, the first closed beta test for Guild Wars 2 has finished, and plans are now being made to roll out public betas in the future.
“In February we’ll invite select press to participate in beta testing, and in March and April we’ll aggressively ramp up the size of our beta test events so that many of you will have a chance to participate. And of course, this all leads to the release of Guild Wars 2 later this year,” says Mike.
The blog suggests that the public beta will be voucher-based, so fans should stay tuned to the game’s Facebook and Twitter pages for their chance to snag an entry.
Guild Wars 2 is in development for PC, and will be published by NCSoft.
