AC3JOD Assassin’s Creed III Join or Die Edition spotted

A “Join or Die” Edition for Assassin’s Creed III has been spotted over at Italian retail site Multiplayer.com.

The image has since been removed but it has led to speculation that this could be an upcoming Collector’s Edition for Assassin’s Creed III.

The “Join or Die” slogan comes from a popular political cartoon created by Benjamin Franklin, and first published in 1754. Benjamin Franklin is one of the supporting characters confirmed to be in Assassin’s Creed III.

Assassin’s Creed III spans the Revolutionary War, taking gamers from the vibrant, untamed frontier to bustling colonial towns and the intense, chaotic battlefields where George Washington’s Continental Army clashed with the imposing British Army.

There has been no official word from Ubisoft on any special retail editions of the game.
