New Tomb Raider screenshots from Gamescom

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have released a new set of screenshots for Tomb Raider at Gamescom 2012.

Tomb Raider will deliver an intense and gritty story of the origins of Lara Croft and her ascent from frightened young woman to hardened survivor, armed with only raw instincts and the physical ability to push beyond the limits of human endurance.

Caught in the clutches of an enigmatic island, Lara is captured by hostile natives and faced with a traumatic and character-defining decision. On this island, forces beyond her control leave Lara little alternative but to ruthlessly fight for her life.

Tomb Raider is due to hit stores on March 5, 2013 for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360.
