Killer is Dead 630x375 Killer is Dead debut trailer, screens unveiled

New details and media for Killer is Dead, the latest game from Grasshopper Manufacture, has spilled out onto the internet today.

The game focuses on a character by the name of Mondo Zappa, a cybernetically enhanced assassin, who absorbs the blood of his victims in order to pull off damaging acrobatic moves.

The game design features gorgeous cel-shaded manga-style artwork, reminiscent of Suda 51’s previous efforts, Killer 7 and No More Heroes.

Similarly the combat appears to be comparable to Shadows of the Damned and Lollipop Chainsaw, with loads of gory sword attack combos and highly stylized violence.

Killer is Dead is expected to release in Japan this year for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but hasn’t attracted a western publisher yet.
