Bethesda Softworks has announced that the first round of invites for access into the “Elder Scrolls Onlinebeta will be sent out later this month.

The new beta FAQ on the game’s website says that invites will be sent out by the end of the month.  “We’ll post notifications on our website and social media channels whenever we send a batch of invitations,” says the FAQ. “When we do, check the e-mail address you used to register for the beta. If you’ve been selected, you’ll receive an invitation with instructions.”

The Elder Scrolls Online will offer a player-driven PvP conflict that pits the three player factions against each other in open-world warfare over the province of Cyrodiil and the Emperor’s throne itself. The story of the game is set a millennium before the events of Skyrim as the daedric prince Molag Bal tries to pull all of Tamriel into his demonic realm.

The Elder Scrolls Online will be launched in 2013, for PC and Mac.
