Capcom has announced that Lost Planet 3 has been pushed back a few months. The game will now coming this August for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Lost Planet 3 casts players in the role of Jim, a utility rig pilot who has left Earth to take on a hazardous but lucrative contract on E.D.N. III. Delivering a diverse range of gameplay, including third-person on-foot battles and intense first-person utility rig action, players will need to brave the uncharted terrain, hostile climate and threat of indigenous Akrid creatures.

The game will take a more story-driven narrative approach to the campaign similar to the first game. Unlike previous games in the series, which were developed internally by Capcom, the game will be developed externally by Spark Unlimited.

Lost Planet 3 will release on August 27th for North America and August 30th for Europe and Oceania.
